This course focuses on the comprehensive evaluation and management of the Pelvic girdle.
Clinical reasoning, differential diagnosis and
evidence based practice with a practical
approach will be presented throughout the
coursework. Eclectic and historical approaches
will be incorporated into the course. The course
will utilize thrust, non-thrust, soft tissue and exercise
techniques. This is a hands-on, lab intensive course
with supervised practice and case-based
application.

Instructional Level: Beginners
Instructional Methods: Hands-on lab, lecture with Q&A, group discussion, patient cases, evidence review. This is a live satellite course.

Course Objectives
- Demonstrate advanced clinical knowledge of the pelvic joints and
surrounding soft tissue. - Demonstrate understanding of how to use current evidence
supporting appropriate tests for examination and treatment options,
while treating each patient as a unique individual to yield the best
outcome. - Demonstrate manual/diagnostic skills to identify pelvic girdle
dysfunction. - Demonstrate interventions including thrust, non-thrust
mobilizations, soft tissue mobilizations and exercise to treat the pelvic
girdle
