This course emcompasses external and intra-rectal rehabilitative treatment techniques for treating both male and female pelvic pain. Participants are encouraged to fully participate in all labs, which include external and intra-rectal components. The course will explore pelvic anatomy, pelvic floor assessessment and treatment, conditions causing pelvic pain and sexual dysfunction, intra-rectal coccyx mobilization, pelvic organ visceral treamtent, and rehabilitative treatment and assessment techniques. On the conclusion of this course, clinicians will be able to effectively treat patients from this population from the initial evaluation, through treatment, to discharge, with measurable improvement in their symptoms.

Course Objectives:
On completion of the course, participants will be able to: Complete an evaluation on the pelvic pain patient; Assess common pelvic pain conditions, complete measures and functional assessments, and identify the need for referral; Educate patients on techniques and tools for managing pelvic skin conditions, hygiene, pelvic pain, and sexual dysfunction; Develop an effective treatment plan that is focused on functional goals; Effectively perform external and intra-rectal techniques for treating pelvic pain, pelvic muscle dysfunction, scarring, and visceral mobilization of the urogenital organs; Effectively progress exercises and habit modification techniques to support recovery
