CORA Institute for Clinical Excellence offers a comprehensive program to prepare you in the evaluation and treatment of vestibular and concussion disorders.
CORA Institute for Clinical Excellence is excited to announce our Vestibular Rehabilitation and Concussion Management Certification.
This series is geared toward the clinician interested in learning evidence-based management for the Vestibular and/or Concussion patient. Evidence-based evaluation, management and protocols will be presented, demonstrated, and practiced throughout components of the courses to ensure clinicians produce excellent outcomes.
Objectives
Upon completion of this certification participants will be able to:
- Make evidence informed decisions in clinical practice related to vestibular and concussion disorders.
- Recognize relevant peripheral and central vestibular anatomy and physiology related to vestibular and concussion disorders.
- Select and perform the appropriate tests and measures related to vestibular and concussion disorders.
- Select and perform the appropriate tests and measures including Canalith, Repositioning Maneuvers for all forms of BPPV.
- Describe the involvement of the cervical spine in the management of the “dizzy” patient.
- Recognize the signs and symptoms of a concussion, second impact syndrome, and chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE).
- Design a comprehensive and evidence-based treatment plan of care for patients with vestibular and/or concussion disorders including return to work/ play progression.
Prior to the application for the CORA Institute for Clinical Excellence Vestibular and Concussion Certification the following must be completed:
- Vestibular Evaluation and Management Disorders (12 hour)
- Post-Concussion Evaluation and Treatment (12 hour)
- Advanced Vestibular/ Concussion (8 hour)
- All course Assessments
- Written and Live Examination
